Dream Analysis

Carl Gustav Jung

Carl Gustav Jung

The dream is the voice of the soul.  Its function is to get us in line with the journey of the soul.

The dream says this is the story, this is what’s happening now and this is where you should be.

Process:

Beginning to write down your dreams is one way to begin to access that part of ourselves that we are unconscious of, but that nevertheless has a great impact on what we say and do.  This picture gives us a glimpse of how much we don’t know about ourselves.

From 300 B.C. onwards, people have honored their dreams.  The temple of Asclepius was the place they went to see a priest who would record their dreams. Only in modern times have we forgotten how to access our dreams.  Jungian therapy is one place where such a journey can be undertaken with the help of an analyst.
